What year is this O.B.?

Mercury 150, Serial #0D044622. When I bought the boat I was told 96. I found a receipt in a box of paperwork that appears to list a 91. Thanks for any help you can provide. P.S. How would you rate this model ?

achris,<br />Is there a list someplace that tells the secret to translate Merc serial numbers to date of manufacture? The FAQ only tells other brands.<br />Thanks!

Phantom,<br /><br />I have a book that lists the starting serial numbers for each year of each engine. Some of the links in the FAQ work ok. There is no secret formula like a Johnrude. <br /><br />Chris......
