From looking at the brochures, I would say 1983. Value is going to be highly dependent on length and engine. The 19' ones are common and fairly cheap. The elusive 26' with a running Mercruiser could be worth $6000. Jas traded a running boat for his because it was what he wanted... ultimately the value is what it's worth to you. If you have been staring at it for 5 years... go talk to him and throw out a number and start there! ;)

Thanks Chieftain, I did find the 1983 by goggling it and yes I agree an 83 it is. Im not sure if its an SF221v or an SF226v its def an I/o and if you look close the outdrive is off or missing. Its been out in the weather for more than 5 yrs Ive just been seeing oit everyday as I drive by on my way to and from work.

I noticed the round outdrive... makes me think OMC engine. Not nearly as desire able as a Mercruiser. Since it has the dark bottom paint I am wondering if it .I got be the 26' since it looked like that was the only model with the dark bottom in the brochure.

I'm betting it's a 22ft:

Interested enough you needed 2 threads to ask what year?

But not enough to stop & talk to the guy.....

Based on all the carp in the yard, and the missing OMC outdrive, it's not worth as much as the owner probably thinks it is...........

Quick note: Since the second thread was not really needed especially being a StarCraft question ;) the other thread has been removed to help avoid any confusion, etc. etc.:)

Lwarden, Just for future reference, Having one thread should usually get you the needed info your looking for. Having a StarCraft and posting down here in the StarCraft section is just an added bonus as these guys know their StarCraft boats pretty darn well.:)

Lol, Have you met my father or something??? Most of the stuff he has lying around the house if worth more to him than what he paid for it whereas for my mother, she just hopes she'll be able to give it away free without having to spending money for someone to take it away.

It's all in the eye of the beholder.....;):)

i think a 22'er also. i wouldn't offer much....not only are you looking at complete repower with something you can get parts for(i bet even the block won't be useful due to freeze cracking; people get careless about winterizing once the package is no longer usable) , but boat has obv been out in the weather and deteriorating for at least 5 years. guaranteed it will be a total gut and rebuild job. i'd offer no more than 800, probably more like 500. 22'ers aren't that rare in your neck o the woods.

I think it is a 26 footer due to the height of the bow rails. Weld that hole closed on the transom and bolt on a bracket with a large single or twin outboards and that would be one sweet boat.

Hmmmmm.....

I think it kinda might look like a mid 80's 22 footer there eh.

That said, the giant OMC hole is problematic but totally fixable. So, I'd be way south of $1k for that otherwise awesome hull.

Now, if it's the 26 footer, the reserve is off.

Hey, maybe just offer him to haul ALL the crap out of his yard (including the Islander) for free! But when it comes time "forget" to take the nasty glasser there:becky:
