What year is this Volvo Penta?

I had our 88 3.0 blow on the last day last year, our dealer said that he had a low hour coplete motor that would drop in for a 1000.00 The motor flies for a 3.0 I was looking at it today it,s a Volvo Penta prod#3857760 type LB30l s/n0000007437 what year is this the boat had a Mercruiser 3.0l to start.......

The 3857760 number is the number for a longblock used for the 98 and newer 3.0L replacements. Thus the type number LB30l (which stands for Long Block 3.0L).
