what year mercury?

i cant seem to find a site which i can refference this ser # a140124. was told 87 but who no s. 60 hp 3 cyl. any one know where the kill switch would be? dont have harness yet, want to see how it runs but dont know how to be able to shut it down when it starts. any help? thanks

thanks gerry. ah ontario. my daughter lived in kitchner four two years. man that is beautiful country up there. thanks for looking up a wiring diagram for me. i need to figure how to ground out ignition without hurting any electricals, only doing this because i have engine on stand and dont have boat with harness. for now i think i will do like someone on this site [choke it out] at least until i get a switch
