hey guys Iam looking at a 14 foot mirror craft deepV
with a 20hp johnston, numbers are
C8121921
J20CRCIM
anything else you could tell me about this boat or motor eg. reliability, servicability, etc would be great thanks in advance..

Welcome to iboats.

Your J20CRCIM is a 1981 Johnny 20HP. I think it is a rope start short shaft engine made in Canada.

Good engine, easy to service, reliable. Treat her right and she will outlive you.

ya it seems like a nice boat, it is not a tiller though, it is controlled by a steering wheel which is kinda strange for a 20hp 14' boat, anyways one more question would be how fast would this boat beable to go, it is "deep v", 14' fairly standerd sized aluminum fishing boat, with 3 bench seats nothing special....

oh ya one more thing, sorry for another post, cound't find the edit button, anyways one thing for sure is that it needs a new propeller the current one has some big chips out of it, what size propeller should I get, and how much should I spend approx, just so I know when I look around, Iam quite new and unknowledable about boats and boat motors, Iam going to go over and see it start up tonite, is there anything I should look for or listen for when we start it up?
