Re: what year ?

i find the "range" of years for that model but i need specifics...
if i am seeing things correctly,i think it is a '75...
if someone wants to verify that would be great....

*sorry for the petty question...but some times we need help in life,,and sleep....thank you..goodnight.

2/4 cylinder? Mercury doesn't really go by the year. They go by serial #s stammped in the block to order parts and do service. It's about a 75-76 thats what I found.J

tnx Jerry..inline 6 150hp (1500)
i just don't deal with many Mercs and it wasn't coming together last night as to the year...i see what your saying....think i found it to be a '75,but i don't like guessing.
not sure why they wouldn't link their serials to model "years" for referencing instead of >between here and here< is what ya got....
but i don't understand many things....i'll learn as i go.

Looks like a 75 to me. From my lists, anyway.

Mikes got it right, (or Merc) nah, give Mike the credit, he posted the chart. :D

Merc did use Year ID's up until around 1990 but you have to remember that the production year begins around June I think. Technically yours would probably be a 75 built in the later part of the production year.
