Great info here as always. New to outboard forums, thats because I just bought a 1953 Lyman 15' center steer! I am asking if someone can help me with the motor's year. Its a Johnson 30hp twin, model number RDE 18, the serial number is 1354883. The controls dont match the motor as far as color. Controls are green, motor is red, however, it was a december boat and I know Lyman often used up their inventory. Also looking for a wiring diagram for the electric start. Anyway thanks in advance for the help, I will be searching this forum often as I try to get her running! Pics to follow soon.
