Re: What year

Hard to say, that isn't a Volvo number. What year is the boat? Back when the 302 Fords were used (70's), Glastron did their own engine setups, but did use Volvo transom shields and drives.

Re: What year

Don,
In another post someone said that the 280 for the ford 302 has a different gear ratio than my aq131c with a 280 lower. I would like to rebuild the 302 and switchout engines. With my Trophy being a much bigger boat than the Glastrons would I need to change my gears?

Yes.
AQ131 uses the 2.15:1 overall ratio and the 5.0L Ford uses the 1.61:1 overall ratio.
The ratio change is in the lower unit.

See the Volvo Penta OEM workshop manual on how to use the A and B measurements and reshim the lowers to their respective new intermediate housings. Keep the bearing races with the same roller cages.
