python or mamba. I would have the scope out for a head shot, or at least 00 in the 12 gauge....
Wrong colour and size for a Mamba.
Inside of their mouth is black, body is olive/gray.
Longest Mamba ever recorded was ~ 4-1/2 meters.
If it is 7 meters it is likely some sort of python.
Edit: Googled "Black mamba picture hoax" and this picture has been reported as far back as 2009, and in various locales worldwide...closest to home was in Louisiana.
Apparently it is a real picture, but not a Mamba, and was in Australia.

HOLY SMOKES! I would suffer heart failure before I even tried to run!YUCK! A snake like that will not have to use it's venom since I would suffer heart failure from running away !!!
I HATE snakes and that thing would definitely send me right over the edge.My impressions are that some of these African/Foreign snakes like the Mambas, Cobras, Taipans, Brown Snakes, etc. roam around freely looking for things to kill and eat...while our domestic, nice, friendly, peace-loving snakes like Rattlers, Moccasins, Copperheads, etc., do indeed tend to stay in the woods, hidden, out of the way at least. Don't think there'd be room in my neighborhood for me and that Black Mamba!...he'd definitely have to go!....

That said, I live out in the country in the woods and poisonous snakes are everywhere. I don't like to kill them because they pretty much leave you alone if you leave them alone. It's my responsibility to watch what I'm doing when I'm on their turf.
