I've never seen one in my area. Never seen one discussed here...

bulletproof? or never made it to the showroom?

nothing referencing it on the Mercruiser site...

did not sell well at all - expensive

kinda introduced it right as the economy went bad

little horsepower, lots of maintenence, most people just figured they'd stick with an outboard

its like they didn't learn their lesson with the 470??

I haven't seen any on the water and was wondering myself. There is new Sweetwater pontoon I/O on our lake, but think it is a 3.0L/alphaII.

I never got the Vazer concept, low HP/weight ratio. I bet a 400# 90HP outboard would outperform a 600# 100HP, Vazer. I wonder how much cheaper the Vazer was going to be than a comparable outboard?

I guess they scrapped it... I doubt any went to market.
there's a wildly (ugly) painted Lund on ebay right now that was a Vazer promotional rig.... says it was sitting at Epcot ctr.? on display.
Says it has warranty covereage, but I'd wonder about parts avail.

According to the link a few post up, it only weighs 399#, Does not seem to weight much more than a outboard to me.

I never looked at that link. But, it's wrong, the outboard is the one that weighs 400#. Looks like that journalist didn't do his homework...

Ayuh,... I thought it was a "Model 0" drive with a 470 motor.....

Gotta admit, that cable tilt was Somethin', eh,..??..??
