Purchesed a 1976 85HP, no controls,no tilt & trim pump. It needs a trigger and stator to even try to get it to run. It has the tilt & trim cylinders, lines and switch. Is it worth replacing these parts to try to save it or should I consider parting this motor out? I have a presure tester on the way. I figured I'd do a presure test , see what that looks like before I decide what to do. What do you think??? Worth it or not??? :confused:Thanks

couple of hundred at best. It's worth fixing if you need a hobby to kill time, otherwise, no.

Right now it is worth whatever you can get for it's parts. It needs $500 worth of new parts ($200+ of used parts) to get it to run. The PTT is more $$ to get working.

If you have a junkyard nearby, it might be worth it
