What's leaking in my lower unit??

When I tilted my outboard down this morning
I saw something seeping from the water intake screens
It was a light brown oozing goop. I'll post

If it smells like burnt oil that's probably what it is unburned oil from gas/oil mix; and nothing to worry about. Happens alot when been trolling or just motoring around slow.

mine does the same thing I've been told its unburnt oil that has built up in the motor .

Smell it to be sure that that is unburnt oil and not gear oil from the gearcase.

if you think it may be gear oil check the oil for signs of water ingress
