Whats my HP on my Johnson

I'm confuse...I bought a boat with a Johnson outboard from a friend of mine and he said it's an 85 HP motor, but the cover say's 115 on it. How do I know if its 85HP or 115HP?

Look for a tag on the transom clamp. it should have the model and serial numbers on it.
