Just looking at my power pack for my 1990 J120TLESB Johnson and it has a part number on ot of 584041. The BRP breakdown lists a 584040 as the correct powerpack for my motor. It doesn't list the 584041 in any search on the site. CDI has an 113-4041 powerpack that replaces them both. The cross reference lists the 584041 as the "OMC CD4 /6700 (Use 113-4041)" and the 584040 as"OMC CD4 AL/6700 (Use 113-4041)". Anyone know the difference between the two, and more importantly could it affect an intermittant idle issue?

Thanks

I don't know what the diference is but I don't think it will affect the idle. It looks like they have a common replacement.

edit to correct spelling

Hi Guys,

Sorry, I had the numbers backwards, the one in my motor is the 040 and it calls for the 041. I figured there wouldn't be much of a difference between the two, just curious in anyone knew what it was.

Thanks,
Evan
