1996 75hp force 3cyl
Bought this boat last year and this connection was unplugged. The guy could not tell me why or what it was for. One is brown with a white strip. It plugs into a solid brown wire
1. I can't tell from the picture, you need to look around and find where it goes.
2.You need a factory service manual, I know where to get it, e-mail me so I can tell you ,tommarvin24@yahoo.com
Hard to say really but when I had mysterious wires they were possibly:
1.) Trim gauge (don't have one so mine would be unplugged)
2.) Maybe overheat sensor not plugged in? Ground out to test. It will go off.
3.) Power trim wires (if yours is working and installed than thats prob not it)
4.) Other kind of gauge or sensor
Just make sure it's not overheat alarm wire unplugged. Otherwise, if the motor is working fine you should be okay just leaving the wire alone.
I had the manual for my Motor, cant see any schematic... I thought its could have been for an oil sensor or oil sending unit, which this motor does have as a mix the gas/oil.. I plugged it in when I bought it, just wish I knew it was ok that way.
