So I got an awesome deal on an older boat, but the guy wasn't kidding, the 1976 1150 Merc is hard to find parts for :)
One side seems to only say "obselete" next to the parts and no pricing, etc..
Another site seems to have compatible parts but no references to years etc..

Anyone have any favorite parts supply websites for older Mercury outboards?

Thanks very much!

Oldmercs is about all that is left other than checking old mercury dealers and see if they have anything on the shelf. CDI has parts for the ignition system

A 1976 1150 isn't old, it's almost broke in. :) My motor is 10 years older. Yikes!

I've gotten a lot of NLA parts at Crowley, Marine Engine and ebay for the most part. Sierra and Mallory do still make some of the NLA parts. NLA means Mercury no longer makes them. I don't know about your 1150, but I can't find a lower unit re-seal kit. I had to buy the shift and carrier parts individually, which jacked the total price up. Believe me, I tried to wear Google out.

Mine is an '82 Mariner (Japanese made). I've had good luck with Crowley for the OEM type parts and with iboats for the bolt-on 3'd party stuff.
