I have a 2007 F250TXR with a little over 60 hours on it. I was pulling some friends around tubing on the Bay last weekend. I was mostly in 15+ feet of water and ran aground on a shoal that just came out of nowhere (1.5 feet of water).
Not sure if it is just a coincidence or not, but ever since then I've noticed this wheezing sound coming from the front of the engine off and on. I went out this evening for about an hour and just heard it the last 5 mins or so as we were docking. I'm not sure, but it may just occur when it's in neutral.
I was planning on taking the boat up to a family member's house for the 4th of July who lives on the water to take family members out to tube/wakeboard. It would really be a downer to not be able to take it but I don't want to do a lot more damage.
I keep my boat in a wetslip and don't have a trailer so it isn't very easy for me to bring it to a mechanic.
Does anyone know what this is or how serious it is? Do you think I could get away with it the way it is until my 100 hr service is due?
