One of our Junior sailing instructors, that is highly trained in instructing kids how to sail, roll tach, rig their boat reach their boat, tow boats out, set a race course (some times not in the channel) was piloting one of our 17' whalers back to our club from a neighboring club.

She was operating at full throttle in 3 foot seas. As the boat was pounding it was trying to talk to the young instructor " Slow down please, my rails are coming loose, my console mounting hardware is starting to elongate the bolt holes, and my battery strap has come off, I am a flat bottom boat and repetitive slamming off the waves will cause damage"

When the barefooted instructor came up the ramp, she reported that her feet were sort of itching and felt like they were burning, I took one look at the up side down battery and told her to hit the showers.

Did it blister or burn her feet? Glad everything came in though...
