i dont know about the new rays as i havent ripped into one yet....the best palce for that info is actually ray....they are really great to ask questions to.
however....i wasnt aware of them switching to composite.......i commomly work on o5\s up....and have net seen a comp transom.
i personally am not afraid of a wood transom.....they last 40 years
i am however afraid of the owner that screws into them with out sealing the screw hole.
