1. so from what i can tell i buy the paint for my boat in a gallon paint can. i'm sure it is recomended that i rent a sprayer to spray it on, right?
2. the zinc chromate primer is pretty expensive.. do i need a whole gallon, or can i get byy with a couple of spray cans? my boat is basically your standard john boat
3. what kind of primer do i use over that, and how many coats should i put on?
4. what is anti-fouling paint and is this what i need?
thanks a lot!

Re: when i paint...

for a jon boat you dont have to hae anti fouling paint.considering it will be take outof the water at the end of the day or likely no longer than a weekend. right?besdes they are easy to load launch therefore easier to get to the hull.cans clean more often..follow?a good paint will be fine.dont know about the primer.dont have to spray if you gont want to.do a search on painting aluminum boats plenty of info here.
