I have a 04' 75hp merc 4 stroke that has the same fuel lines and hoses, when should I change them or look at changing them and could this be playing a part in the motor not getting fuel consistently and cutting off.

Re: when should fuel lines be changed?

hello, i'm no pro , but from what i know, the fuel lines, depending where they are, should be changed when they get hard and cracking. if they are flexable they should be good, as for the engine cutting off, are you sure its a fuel problem? it could be anything, carb, spark, fuel pump, vacum lock.
again, it depends where/which lines your refering to, tank to motor, fuel pump to carb etc
