My 5.7GXI is coming up to 5 years old/ 200 hrs.

It lives in very salty south florida on a lift where it sits unused for 3 months inbetween our visits. It is always flushed through after use and before being left sitting.

Do i just change the manifolds/risers now? Or take them off and inspect them? Or change them at 6 years? I have never kept a boat longer than 5 years before so unsure what i should do.......

Thanks for any advice!

I would inspect at 5 years and then every 2-3 years, depending on how the mating surfaces of manifold and riser look after the initial inspection.

replace when you are loosing a fair amount of mating surface to the rust scaling off, etc.

generally you would remove the risers and inspect the joint between the riser and manifold.

Since you are flushing that should prolong the life of the manifolds and risers.
