Where all is the serial number listed?

I bought a 1996 boat and mercury 150 offshore motor. Where is the serial # on the motor? I see a place on the main mount that maybe something was removed and it has void written all over it. I hope this is not the only identification on the motor.

Look on the lower right rear of the motor on the block. There should be a plate on the swivel bracket of the mount as well. If it says void, maybe the motor is a transplant to the mount.

Thanks for the reply. I found the sticky plastic lable, or half of it stuck to the foot. I lucked up and got the top half which had the serial #. There is a plug in the top of the block, looks like a freeze plug, with the serial # stamped in it also. Now that I may be able to get it titled, I will go to work on replacing the burned piston.
