where are my fuses, please help

does anyone know where i can find the fuses for my gauges, the engine is a 1981 mercury 80hp blueband.<br />also is the engine fitted with a trim gauge sender.<br /><br />Thank you

Welcome dan-ring 16<br />Not sure about your motor as mine is a 1977 80hp<br />and as no fuses at motor for gauges.<br />First thing buy a manual for your motor.<br />Look behind your dash for fuses or fuse panel.<br />Motors dont have fuses in them for diffent gauges as most power come direct from your battery sorce. Track back from battery also might have fuses in line .Dont know about sender unit, if you have trim and tilt these are normally seperate harness ,just follow wires to find sender.<br />hope this helps .<br />Just wait and someone will come along, this is a great site and a lot of talent available to help us all.
