Where are the Canucks on this board and where do you boat??? and do any American boating friends come north of the boarder to visit our waterways, I myself run mostly southern georgian bay and lower trent severn between locks 42 and 45, I can be found hanging around one of several fine sandy beach Islands out in Georgian bay on a fine sunny day. So let us all know whats your ports of call.

Middle of fire alley with way too much smoke out there to see far enough to boat.

I've got an 18' Starcraft for the big lakes (Okanagan etc.) for tubing and fishing plus a 12' with a 9.9 and an electric for the multitude of small lakes in the area. Mostly trout fishing but some perch, bass (haven't tried that yet) and a trip to Vancouver area once a year when the Salmon are running (mid Sept this year for me).

My favorite fishing hole in all the world is Lake Of The Woods, Ontario.

It is a long drive from The Hideout, but worth every mile. :)

I too am a Georgian Bay man. I fish around Twelve Mile Bay and the Moon River Basin.

The scenery up there is second to none.

Re: Where are the Canucks ??

I used to fish for salmon off Port Angeles, Wa. This time of year, we would always get Fraser River (in Vancouver) bound kings off an area called "the second hump". It was really nice of those fish to cross the straits, just so they could hop in my boat, and later onto the dinner table.
These days, fish mostly in the Saint Mary's river system between Lake Superior and Lake Huron. Not as nice as the salt water, of course, but still pretty nice. Everyone around here fishes with hardware and downriggers, and I hate that kind of fishing. I've been getting my share with west coast jigs, but one of these years I am going to get some smelt or some other bait, and mooch cut plugs off Mississaga or St Joe's Island. No one around here has ever heard of such a thing, but I can't believe these salmon won't be receptive to real fishing!
