Where can I find plans for a homemade wood Jon?

I searched iboats for plans, either I'm not using the right keywords, or there just aren't any. I want to build my own little river-sound boat. I've got a good running older 18hp tiller to put on it. I live on the Neuse, and am 2 hrs from the Coast. I'm a skilled carpenter with tons of tools. North Carolina just passed a new law stating 14' and over need to be titled. So I'll make mine 13' 11". Does any one know of a reliable resource to get plans to build my own Jon? Trailering is not a problem. I've got access to tons of rusted out PWC trailers. Axles, leaf springs, tires, rims, hand winches, bunk mounts, frame connectors, whatever I need. A local steel outlet sells the new channel. I'll just make my own little trailer. Any help on this one? Thanks, KR

when i was a kid my dad and i built one similar to below, he rabited the joints on the stringer and gunnel braces, and then glue and nail them, then use 1/4 inch ply as a stiffener on each side. the bottom was 3/8 ply, and the side were 2 layers of 3/8 as the lumber was only 8ft. so he lapped the slice. was a great boat, i learned to ski behind it. had a 1950 15hp rude.

i realize it may seems like a waste of wood, but rip 20 inch gunnels, you can use the other 8 inches as ribs and bracing. when we built ours, he ripped the ply 16 inch to conserve wood, but we wished we had higher side.

if your handy with wood, look up scarfing.
making one is relatively easy, scarf two sheets of ply together for the length, cut your sides and floor make a transom and three ribs.
slowly piece your stuff together, making braces as you need them..
just get the biggest parts out of the way, take your time and figure out the rest.. mostly straight lines with very little bow.
as you piece it together you will put in the seats for support.
Go to a boat dealer and take measurements.. keep going back for a referance. once you get started it will all fall into place.
