Where can I find the lower shift cable / interupt switch?

Hey guys,

I started a thread last year about my issue of the boat stalling when I go to put it in gear, and I was told to check the lower shift cable or the shift interrupt switch to see if it moves freely or if its worn out. I found some stuff in the manual of what it looks like, but not where its located or how to get to it. Can anyone point me in the proper direction?

Thanks!

Trace your shift cable to where it connects at the engine or transom... That's where you will find your interrupt switch.

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,.... Ya gotta look 'round the motor, not the manual....

There's 2 cables goin' aft from the controller, 1 goes to the carb, 'n the other goes to the shift plate, where you'll find the shift switch, 'n the 3rd cable, the lower shift cable...
