where can I find the model number on a johnson outboard

The only number I have been able to find are on the transom and they are V4AL-14L with a serial # 2317283. The plate states that the motor is a 75hp but I have no idea what year it is. I pull the cover looking for more info and this think is a 4 cylinder job but that is all I can tell. Does anyone have any ideas.

I am new at this, But I have a 150 and the serial and model are on the transom mount if you turn motor towards the starboard side you might see it.<br />If you call a local Johnson dealer he can tell you the year by Model #. or you can look at the title.<br />Hope this helps.

Howdy, Reddog.<br /><br />Your engine is a '62 75hp.<br /><br />24:1 mix, and you will need a lot of it.<br /><br />Good luck.
