Where do i find the HP rating?

Where do i find the HP rating on a 1975 chrysler bow rider 16ft.
I have a 90HP now and think it might be to big even thou the seller thinks it is the original motor.
It seems to make the transom flex.

There should be a plate somewhere on the boat that has the hull ID number, along with the load and horsepower ratings.

I saw a plate with weight and and passenger rating by the throttle but no HP rating.
I have been trying to figure how i can get 5 and 1/2 like it says

OK, I found what you need:

Go to this site:

Scroll down on the page until you see the link for factory brochures, click that, then click 1975.

From what I can see, the 16' bowrider was rated for 100 hp, so you should be OK, as long as your transom's sound. But check the brochures. The type's kinda small, but you can read the tables if you push it.

There's something for everyone on the web, it seems...even owners of 32 year old Chrysler boats.

You asked about bracing the transom. Is yours not solid? If it's not, then you have to fix it, if you're going to avoid a disaster.

Its probably fine just me being paranoid.
I would probably see cracks where it was stressed i would think but the boat looks about brand new if the red interior wasn't faded.

Look into that more closely. Not usually a good sign.​

I looked inside and out last night and looks fine.
I saw were the HP rating was I'm just blind good thing i quit drinking or the dumb *** would never get it in the water
