I have a 1982 Silverline farallon in need of floor and stringer replacement. Where do I start ??? I have the floor all ripped out and I am down to the stringers and foam. I am a first time boat owner and this is my first restoration , not really to sure of myself and all the proper steps to follow.

start with an outline of what needs to be done to make it safe, and what you want to do to make it pretty. then break it down to small projects. this way you can see the progress, of each step. you can prep for the accessories, but making it safe is 1st priority.

get the foam out.. its most likely water logged. check the stringer and transom for rot.

That will be your most important step in the whole process. Do one thing - then move on to the next. Of course your safety is important so wear protective gear, read the instructions on cans, products, etc. Always remember no matter how bummed out or pi$$ed off you get there will always be tomorrow.
