I have a 88 bayliner and would like to get spare keys made. Tried the local OSH but they don't carry the blanks.
Its the ignition and glove box keys, one says Briggs and Stratton on it.
Any ideas other that tracking down a locksmith?

Try a Bayliner Dealer. It worked for me when I lost my key to my Mercury motor. I would think the dealer would have a large key ring to pick from!

yep, track one down.
B&S has been making keys for a long time and make many diffierent key blanks and locks. need more info as for which one you need. a code # may be stamp on the head of the original key. could be stamped on the face of the lock too. if no code, a pic or a trip to the locksmith is about yer only choice. ilco 1098M (B1) is a most common blank and passes several different keyways.
ps, briggs and straton is now stratec for their keys
don't post a pic if ya don't want everyone to know what the combo to yer lock is. if i can see a key, most likely i can make it, w/o the original to copy, others can too if they know keys......
