Where do you get service?

I am in SWFL and was wondering where do those of you that don't have an all year round boating season get your propellers fixed? Pitch changes, weld back to size, re-hubs?

I ask because my family has owned what is pretty much the only propeller service in SWFL for over 25 years. All the marinas and mechanics send their props to us.

Is there somewhere local or do most of you ship your props out for service? I am somewhat gauging an interest I guess just out of curiosity. Anybody know if having a service for shipping propellers would be beneficial to those who don't have a local marina or service shop?

I guess I`m lucky to live in an area where there is a lot of commercial lobster fishers in dories who use mostly 40hp outboards and are always beating up props so several welding shops and autobody shops repair them here. They weld them up and grind them back to shape by eye . I had 3 done before and no problems with vibration . Next day service . $40. last one cost and it was bad.
