where does the hose from the speedo go

hi so read a couple threads and figured that blowing air in makes the speedo operate but what do i hook the other end up to it just came rolled up with my boat it has a 50hp viking and it is a 15ft viking boat the rubber tube runs frokm the speedo to the back of the boat and it is rolled up and hanging underneath the splashwell am i missing something or do i just throw it in the water ??

Depending on what year and type of motor some have a place to attach the pick up line to the motor or on the pitot tube on a transom.

The partial vacume created by the water rushing by the pickup makes the speed meter work and the higher the speed, the higher the vacume unless I am mistaken. .

Right concept, wrong direction. It creates pressure, not vacuum. The water is trying to go into the pickup tube, and the harder it pushes to get in, the faster the speedo registers.
