Where does the speeedo tube exit transom?

Speedo hasnt moved since i bought this boat i can see that its not attached to the out drive but the barb is there.... i can follow the tube all the way from the gauge to the transom, but i can see it coming out by the out drive... any pics or information regarding how it exits out of the boat? there is no tubes hanging that i can see. ive had the drive up/down/ and side to side.

port side, next to the water passage hose
