Where does this tachometer wire go to????

Changed out my rectifier on my 1969 Merc 800. I attached the tach wire to what I thought was the correct post on the rectifier. Now my tach won;t work at all. I'm wondering if I attached the tach to the wrong post. Any help would be greatly appeciated. Thanks!

if its the sig. wire to the tach,it should go to either yellow /red tracer wire from the alt.
