Where does this vacuum hose go

I have a 1997 evinrude ocean pro 175 E175EXECD. I just got it about a month ago and was cleaning carbs yesterday and found a vacuum hose not connected to anything. The same hose on the other side goes down under the fuel pump and ties into something. does anyone know where I can find a diagram of the vacuum system? according to the parts diagram its coming off of the manifold ay fuel inlet. It runs under the carbs and is just laying in the bottom of the compartment. I will get a picture tomorrow if time allows

V6 likely has 2 fuel pumps, could be one of the pulse generator hoses to a fuel pump....?
Just a guess.

That motor has a single OMS oil injection/fuel pump. It is hard to tell from your description, but there should be two vacuum lines connected to the air silencer. One top starboard side and one opposite bottom of the silencer.
