I have a 1987 Johnson 100 V4 with no VRO. Where do the 4 vacum lines that are on the intake manifold go to? The engine block also has 3 small fitings 2 on one side and one in the side of the starter. What are those for, i guess for oil from the prior VRO. What do I put there. Need help. Also, carbs leaking fuel and fuel line goes dry in a matter of minutes. I put a new fuel line, din't help. Engine runs well at high RPM but dies at idle. Also the bulb(also was change) never stays hard even if you pump it alot

bouner,

If you look really close, there are four of those fittings on the block, two each side.

They have nothing to do with VRO, something to do with crankcase pressure. They are attached to a one way check valve at each block connection..

Thanks Djohns for the input :) . Still can't find the fourth fitting. i'll keep looking. By the way the other 3 had no check valves, they had fuel lines that went to the primer and to the intake manifold fittings. Is that ok?
