Where/how to get aluminum boat with no motor????

I am looking for a gently used or new aluminum 18ft boat with no motor and no trolling motor?I?m not sure if anyone carries this or if anyone knows from whom or how I can get my hands on something like this? I have an 18ft bass tracker, for which I just bought a 90hp outboard and a brand new trolling motor. After putting the 90hp on the boat I realized it wasn?t plaining right and after further investigation I realized that the bottom of the boat is trashed, so now I?m looking for a similar boat, bass tracker, G3? (set up for bass fishing with a deck, console, seats, etc?) to swap equipment from my boat to the other. Any ideas?

This is the set up I want minus the bottom of the boat looking like someone took a sledge hammer to it....I'm pretty sure ice got in it, bc I had someone else store it for me...forgot to take the plug out during the winter...blehView attachment 120516

Yeah. What are you looking for in the way of new or used, what type of boat, what condition.....you know....we can't read your mind.....you tell us, Sir! How is that your current boat has been recently discovered as being trash?

craigslist, ebay, or your local dealers, might find one with a blown motor, or no motor

As I stated in my original post: Gently used or new....aluminum, 18ft.....I put the 90 on it and it wasn't plaining right so I had it checked out and the bottom of the boat is just destroyed, absolutely irreparable.

I think I've heard that Alumcraft sell unrigged boats.

ezmobee, Thanks! Ill look into it....Pretty frustrating after I've finally got what I thought was a good setup and now I've got to look into another hull...lol

Yeah that's a bummer. I've got a 90 on my 18' aluminum Starcraft and I'm quite pleased with the performance. I have hit 40MPH with a light load and the time to plane is super quick.

An Alumacraft dealer can sell you what's called a "No Pre-rig" boat. It still contains everything a powered boat would have except for the engine. I've done it twice.

I have no doubt you'll be able to find what you're looking for. The $64 question is what are you willing to spend for it? If time is more pressing than money your best bet is to contact manufacturers; Alumaweld, War Eagle, Xpress, SeaArk, etc. and ask them to put you in touch with the appropriate dealer or sell you one directly. My guess is you'll get off cheaper buying a complete rig used then stripping it, but that's strictly a guess. Where you are in the 48 (or elsewhere) will be a significant factor. Welcome aboard.

You don't give your location but Voyager in Camdenton, Mo (Ozarks) makes a 18' and 20'. They are jon boats though. My local dealer ordered just a bare boat from them.

I understand the boat is thrashed. Is the 90 hp also new, like the trolling motor? I would hope you could buy a new, motorless Jon or bassboat easily from any manufacturer, the smaller ones come that way.

It's not new it's a 2003 but it's in amazing shape, has only 8 hrs of run time on it.
