Where I can send a new 5.7L to be re-built?

I have a engine that has less than 7 hours on it. I only had the boat for 20 minutes when the engine died. After SIX WEEKS, the "Premier" Marina finally got around to taking the engine out of the boat and says that the 4 starboard cylinders have water in them and the engine is froze up. They blame the exhaust manifolds (which were 8 years old, but they can't explain why they didn't recommend putting new ones on when they replaced the block so now it is not under warranty). I'm not sure it was the manifolds problem, since the engine turned over and backfired after I fixed another one of their mess-ups that caused the engine to shut off (it lost the negative to the ignition module while running at 40 knots). Since it's been more than 30 days since they did the work, they say it is not their problem. Since this engine is practically new, where would you recommend I send it to repair the damage? Or, do you throw the new engine away and get another one? I'm having a hard time swollowing just turning it in for the deposit!! Thanks for the feedback!

Contact Jack at Flagship Marine Engine Co at 800-282-2840. They may even have a new take-out.

They'll have manifolds too.

Being new to this could you tell me how water gets into the cylinders through the manifold?

Usually, either the manifold cracks and the water leaks through the water jackets, or the water comes back up through the exhaust, from stopping too fast with a bad flapper or from the engine dieseling when shut off and sucking water back up.
