I removed all panels to see my gas tank. It is plastic,20 gallons. On the top there is a rectangle held down with phillips and inside that are the wires to dash, an 90% hose fitting from the fuel/water sep., and what looks like a plug. Ofcourse on the other end is the fuel inlet line and vent line. Where is my antisiphon valve?

Should be right at the top of the tank......Disconnect your battery, before you mess with it. The thing with wires is your gas gauge......JK

The anti-syphon valve is the 90 degree fitting that feeds the fuel pump.

A steel ball, with a spring behind it. Acts as a check valve. fuel can only flow one way.

Thanks everyone! It looks as if some thread compound was used on the fittings. What should I use if anything when replacing the antisiphon device? Tephlon tape? Compound?

Don, just curious. Why wouldn't you use teflon tape. I just used it on installing my fuel filter/seperater. Should I take it off and put on the sealer you mentioned?

Actually there are two types of Teflon tape. White and Yellow. Yellow is for metal pipe for gas, propane, etc. Don't use the white as it deteriorates with petroleum byproducts
