Re: where is Rodbolt?

He moved to where the grass grows greener and the sun shines brighter. I think he grew weary of certain narrow-minded members that routinely took him to task for daring to disagree with them and took his considerable talents elsewhere. You see, there is a small contingent of members that prefer to swim around in the bilgewater of the iboats basement (aka Dockside Chat) that never venture up here into the upper decks where the sun shines in. Rodbolt liked to carry a little sunshine down there with him on occasion for those that appreciated it. He apparently tired of the few that prefer cobwebs to daylight and jumped ship to commune with less mean-spirited folk. I'd pull the old rotton apples analogy out, but I'll bet you get my drift. ;)

Re: where is Rodbolt?

well thats a damn shame...I enjoyed reading his posts. I have some knowledge of motors and found everything he said to have merit. I have reccomended to people in Australia to get on this site with some of their unusual motor problems and rustle him up....I have no idea of what went on here, but as I say its a shame if he decided to leave the board and I, for one, cant see any reason to have canned him in any way.

Good on ya mate, wherever you are now sharing youself, and thanks for your help.

It is always sad when a few run the knowlege able off with their sniping at them. Unfortunately, it seems to happen often on these type message boards. Rodbolt and his vast knowledge and experience as well as his willingness to spend so many hours trying to help others is sorely missed.

hhhmmm I guess that's why I have not seen any posts from him then! what a shame huh, he and Ray and a few others are real Gentlemen with a wealth of knowledge that they shared for free and got a lot of people out of trouble and saved them a lot of heartaches with repairs, OH well I guess we can just lament the moving on of a great marine mind and hope the rest of you guys hang around for a long time to come.
