where is S/N model# on Johnson motor?

Hi,<br /><br />I have a simple question. Where do I find the serial number and model number on my outboard motor? I have an older Johnson 6 hp Seahorse. I have scrutinized it, but, being somewhat visually impaired, I have yet to locate the info.<br /><br />Thanks!

Hello IA Fisher,<br />The model and serial numbers should be on the swivel bracket (the part that clamps on the boat). If you can't find it there, there is an alumum plug on the powerheat, almost looks like a freez plug.
