Where Is The Best Place To Lift From

Where abouts is the best place to lift from on a 140 mercruiser? I am planning on renting an engine hoist so i can move my engine and replace my transom but I havent noticed a hook or anything to lift from. Its probably right in front of my but i best ask just incase i do it wrong and end up with a hole in the bottom of my hull.

Depends on the year and the location of the mounts.
Go up to the Adults only sticky and download the manual for your engine. It will show you where to lift from.
There are places you shouldn't, on some models.
