where to buy fabric and carpet

where can i locate fabric for tops and covers by the yard or roll. a boat cover would be a great project to keep my first mate busy over the winter. there has to be somewhere that sells sharkskin or sunbrella or equivalent. also boat carpet that doesn't look "home depotish"

I have used these guys with a lot of success http://store.yahoo.com/yourautotrim-store/marinevinyls.html <br /><br />They have the vinyl, fabric, and thread. Don't think they have the carpet.<br /><br />Do a search here on iboats and you will find a lot of posts about where to buy fabric, vinyl and stuff.

Check out rochfordsupply.com. Lots of marine fabrics and hardware. Good prices and the people I spoke to there were really helpful. It's where I ordered the fabric, snaps, thread and top hardware from for my convertable top project.<br /><br />
