Where to buy float and needle for '65 5.5hp?

Just like the title says I guess. Local dealers want nothing but a new motor sale so I thought I'd see if there are any intreweb peoples that carry these parts. I've heard very good things about these 5.5hp twins and would love to see for myself. I'm pretty sure the float is not floating and I understand there is a newer plastic float to replace the original one.

It's more likely that your motor is a 1964. The float would then be 0375919. The parts are available online from sea-way.com, laingsoutboards.com and many other online BRP authorized dealers.

I don't see a 5.5 listed in 1965, could you post your model number. I would guess that a 5 or 6 horse would be the same, but it would be guess.

The last of the 5.5 is 1964, in 1965 it's beefed up to become the 6HP.

Thanks guys. It might be a '64 and is just titled as a '65. I'll get the model and serial number and post it later this evening.

I should probably put a water pump impeller in even though it pumps well.

CD21-A = 1964 5.5 hp
Float = 375919, changed to 396514
Needle = 379313, changede to 396522
Impeller = 277181, changed to 434424
