I have found some pretty good deals on the net for props. Are certain companies know for better props? I am looking an aluminum prop and how do I know if it's through hub exhaust, what does counter rotation mean and what is this hub assembly they are trying to sell me with the prop?

If the prop is made of your motor the thru hub should be taken care of with the purchase. The "hub thing" they are selling with the prop helps bridge the gap between the prop and you spline sticking out of the motor. This allows you to carry additional props without the expense of additional hub. If you plan to do this make sure you buy props from the same manufacturer as they are not compatible. Without the hub you will be unable to mount the prop to your motor.
As far as a manufacturer of prop for an aluminum you could try Hustler, Turning Point, Michigan Wheel, and several others. There is a propeller test link at the top of the prop forum with testing results on several of the above mentioned manufacturers.

I missed your question on counter rotation. These props are made for a set of outboards mounted to the same boat. One motors prop runs clockwise and the other runs counter-clockwise. This helps reduce torque steer and is not applicable to your boat as long as you don't have one of the counter rotating lower units. If you list the prop you currently have on your boat along with the current rpms' at wide open throttle(WOT), top speed, motor type and year, and finally what are you doing with your boat such as high speed runs, or water sports like pulling tubers and skiiers.

The best place to buy props is right here on iBoats. Click the Marine Store button right under the iBoats.com logo at the top of the page. Scroll down to propellers and knock yourself out with the choices.
