Sorry, I know this is an exciting topic. I swear I tried searching for the answer in these forums.
Is there anywhere to go and buy American Made quality trailer tires. I'm looking for ST205 75 x14 or F78x14 for boat/trailer/supplies figure 6500lbs. Even better, does anyone know of a place around Hannibal MO/Mark Twain Lake area?
Thanks in advance...

Any larger farm store that sells auto and trailer parts will have them.

Wallmart may carry some American made tires but it's not really their thing. Kelly, Cooper, Springfield, are American companies. Some Khumo and some Goodrich made in US. Most Goodrich made in Mexico and Asia.

:):) America's Tire Co. Online. Try and get a pair or better 2 + spare. I just bought and had mounted at the same time the same size tire as you have. To me the best tire on the market and the only one I's use are Maxiss Tires. For 3 tires new and mounted and balenced was 180.00 plus change. LDJ ;);)

Re: Where to buy trailer tires

I just talked to my local tire guy and he said that most if not all trailer tires are now made in china. Even the American companies are having them made there. He had a guy in last week wanting tires made here and he looked and found that they are made in china. Don't take it for gospel because I didn't look it up but I find this tire dealer is usually right.

I'm not sure how you came up with that number. I just checked their site and they are $83 ea for size 13.

I'm sorry I meant it was for the two that were installed. They were 13. I read it wrong.:confused::confused: LDJ

I just got a Carlisle 205 75/14 Radial on a galvanized rim at the local auto parts store for $143. Regular price was $167 but I get a mechanics discount. That was a good deal for me because of the no muss, no fuss. It was another $9 for a big U-Bolt thing to mount on the trailer. Done is less than 30 minutes and now I have a spare tire.
