where to find 1955 engine

does anyone know where to find a running 1955 outboard? Of any horse. Preferably a johnnyrude but others might do.

Curious. Why 1955? The post-1963 engines are a lot better and use a 50:1 mix.

In your position I would start with the local Craigslist, then go to ebay.

You might have some luck by listing your wants in the "Wanted" thrifties ads here.

Try placing an ad in your local PennySaver or FreeTrader type paper. Your phone will be ringing off the hook!

This Fifty one year old girl still spins like a top. I got it from a customer, who wouldn't take any money for it.

All he told me to do was bring back for him to see after I restored it. He was very impressed.
