Hope one of you could tell me, where I could get a 10-3/4x19 pitch prop.
I've been looking but cannot find it. do i have to get it built? Oh by the way it 13 spline 3 blade for merc 500 50hp 1977

boat, 14ft starcraft, 410 pounds, from what i've read it seems this prop would put me at 38-45 mph part # (A-48-5622A1) for a boat up to 850 lbs, 12-14 foot

thanks for any help

Re: where to find a prop?

A48 I believe is a Mercury part number.I think I would be looking for a 19"
prop for a 77 lower. Forget the Mercury specific part number.
19" pitch will be a difficult size to find. 19 seems like an awful lot of pitch for the application.I had a 77 500 on a 77 bare bones 375lb 18 ft Crestliner
I don't know what pitch it ran but sure it wasn't a 19.
I presently have a 57 18 ft bare bones crestliner (approx.375)with a 65 merc 500 I know it isn't running anywhere near a 19" I think it is a 12 or 13.Its my opinion if you run a 19 on that boat you will be lugging the motor. Not enough rpm.You need to select a prop to run at the max rated rpm of the motor not by estimated speed.Don't make a final selection without a tach. The least problem might be poor performance the worse premature engine failure.
If you insist on a high pitch get a 17" and get the max rpm and speed
with a light load.Motor is rated at 4,800 to 5,500 if you run light all the time
you could prop for the lower end but if you run with the family often prop more to the top end. Most 2 strokes are happier running near the top of their rating. You have posted twice for the same problem you should eliminate the
one without any real info.
