Hey, sorry if this is a stupid question but I am really new at this having just bought my first boat(small Runabout). I have a US Marine Force 50hp on this boat, where can I find the model and serial numbers located at, and is there a site where I can get a free on-line manual? Thanks for the help.

Sorry, no free online manuals for Force motors. I found the Clymers Force manual to be better than the Seloc manual. Of course, the factory manual is usually more detailed, might find one on ebay.

The only place you will find the model and serial number on a Force is on a small id tag, either a metal plate or a sticker. It should be located on the transom mounting bracket, usually on the side.

If you can't find the number plate, you should buy a repair manual and start comparing components to those shown in the manual.

There were a couple different ignition systems, different lower units, carburators, waterpumps, etc. I bet that within and hour or so, you could narrow it down close enough to the point that you could order any parts you may need.

(click for Clymer manual)
